PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Perkins&Will’s Insights platform harnesses the power of client partnerships to explore critical issues through co-storytelling. At the core of this platform is an annual sustainably printed magazine called Current that is developed by our in-house editorial and graphic design teams working in collaboration with freelance journalists and photographers.
It’s not always feasible for our clients to talk publicly about the design services we render for them. So the challenge was: How do we convince our clients to talk publicly about our work together for the benefit of them and our other clients?
With Insights, we found a way of co-authoring content with our clients—and it resulted in a historically unmatched level of client engagement. Clients who previously had been unwilling to participate in joint “public relations” or “marketing communications” efforts were suddenly eager to share their stories with our global audience, and that’s because many of our clients represent some of their potential clients. In the end, we built a bridge that opened communication with our clients and encouraged idea-sharing to the benefit of everyone.
Together, Current and Insights showcase how good design can help all of us design a healthier, more equitable, and more sustainable world.
