PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Director Alison Klayman and Second Nature Films came to And/Or in need of a design and graphics partner for their Netflix documentary exploring the rise and fall of Abercrombie and Fitch in the 90’s. We jumped at the chance to turn the traumatic memories we collectively had about the store – the abs! The prep! The scent! – into cheeky collages for the title and 30 minutes of animated sequences to help tell the story.

Juror Comments
“This intro animation does a very good job of setting the stage for the story, cutting and pasting advertising, packaging, magazine pages and headlines into a kind of rollicking mood board. In its reverence for the tactile print culture of the A&F era, it feels both nostalgic and hungry for the controversies the brand used to incite.”
