PROJECT DESCRIPTION
"Pornography is a huge part of the lives of children who have digital access like never before, and we need to have a national conversation about it". After picking up our Hot S3x video and posting it on their feed, the New York Times beautifully captures what we were looking to achieve with this educational video geared towards teens as a series of educational videos on topics like healthy relationships, human trafficking, and porn; to start a conversation. In partnership with Victim Services Durham Region, we took a different approach to porn and the youth of today; not denying it exists, but rather facing it head-on by teaching teens to use critical thinking skills when interacting with porn. This video acts as a safe porn crash course with bright and compelling visuals that seeks to reach and teach.

Juror Comments
“Tackling a complex subject with strong writing and a refreshing lack of bias, this educative animation gives the viewer tools to make a distinction between what they see on porn sites and the experience of sex for most people, who don’t necessarily consider sex performative, and don't spend all their encounters pushing the limits of what their bodies can do. The elemental and simplified drawing style, combined with excellent parsing of the various issues at hand, makes this animation exceptional.”
