PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The Qualifying Paper Symposium is a yearly event held by Bard Graduate Center in celebration of its graduating class completing their capstone projects. To commemorate and record these achievements, this program was designed.
Key design elements are elongated dashes and strokes that reference the continuous format of the accordion folded interior, exaggerated word spacings that call back to the airy typography of the cover, and letterpressed typography that speaks to the individuality of each student.
Made in an edition of 250, each program includes a letterpressed cover and handbound/assembled interior done by Jocelyn Lau (designer) and a few helpful hands.

Juror Comments
“A call back to print glory days! Idiosyncratic type + breathy composition, a celebration of one of my truest-loves, finessing the minutia. Chefs-kiss for the interplay of paper texture and letterform. This is ephemera I’d collect.”
