PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This poster was intended to interest and entice Ringling College of Art & Design students to attend a lecture by the entrepreneurial design firm, Hellcats USA. Hellcats began as a side hustle collaboration between Brittany Reagan and Clark Orr, who designed, marketed and sold quirky products online. As the business grew and became highly successful both Brittany and Clark left their full-time jobs to focus on design for Hellcats products.
Hellcats USA is a cross-section of their two styles, ideas, and tastes put into product form. They describe their style as,"It's a little dark, but not negative, and a little bit fun, but not overly cutesy. Just the right amount of tough with a pinch of sparkle."
When designing the poster it only seemed right to allow the Hellcats USA logo, a running black cat with a pitchfork, break out of the paper poster. The logo is held in place by a vacuum formed clear plastic sheet, and overlayed on a printed background.
