Abbott Miller, Partner, Pentagram, New York, NY - Juror Chair

"Abbott is a multidisciplinary designer whose work spans brand identity, publications, environmental graphics, exhibitions, and digital media. He has evolved a hybrid design practice, and has embraced the role of editor, writer, and curator in many of his exhibition and publication projects, fusing his interest in the history and theory of art, architecture, performance, fashion, and design. 

Before joining Pentagram as a partner in 1999, he founded Design/Writing/ Research, a multidisciplinary studio in which he established his reputation for innovative practice. At Pentagram, Miller has collaborated with many clients in the cultural sector and designed numerous environmental graphics programs and exhibition projects. He has received numerous awards, including the 2014 AIGA Medal, the profession’s highest honor, and his work is represented in multiple museum design collections. Miller has written extensively about design, and lectures on his work nationally and internationally."

Dan Vlahos, Design Leader and Educator, Dan Vlahos Design, AIGA Boston and Merrimack College

Dan Vlahos is a Boston-based design leader and educator. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Visual and Performing Arts at Merrimack College, where he serves as Director of the Undergraduate Graphic Design Program. Vlahos is President of AIGA Boston and also serves on the Design Museum Foundation Council. Vlahos’ interdisciplinary design work has been recognized by the AIGA, the One Club, Print, How, and the Interactive Media Council. Vlahos began his career in Arnold Worldwide’s Volkswagen Design Group—and later served as Creative Director for Shepley Bulfinch architects. In 2020, Merrimack College’s Interdisciplinary Institute named Vlahos a Presidential Fellow, and in the same year, he became a member of the Society of Printers in Boston. In 2021 Vlahos entered into the Design Incubation program as a Writing Fellow, and in 2023, he became a USGBC LEED Green Associate and the first AIGA Design Leader (DL) in New England.

Heather-Mariah Dixon, Partner, Creative Director, Overeasy

An award-winning creative director, Heather-Mariah is a partner and creative director at the soon to be launched consulting firm, Overeasy. Previously, she founded and built her boutique branding & content agency, Studio HMVD over 5 years. She’s worked closely with countless early-stage startups including ARMRA, Berczy, Boy Smells and Maxwell. Her work has been recognized by AIGA, the One Club, Communication Arts, The Brand Identity and more. 

Prior to entrepreneurship, Heather-Mariah worked with brands and creative agencies such as M·A·C Cosmetics, Johnson & Johnson, School House NYC and Prophet, among others.

Jarrett Fuller, Partner, Assistant Professor of Graphic and Experience Design, North Carolina State University College of Design; Podcast Host, Scratching the Surface

Jarrett Fuller is a designer, writer, educator, editor and podcaster. He is an assistant professor of graphic and experience design at North Carolina State University; host of the design podcast Scratching the Surface; and director of twenty-six, a multidisciplinary design and editorial studio. His writing has appeared in Fast Company, Eye, Design Observer, Untapped, and Eye on Design, where he served as contributing editor from 2020-2022. He previously worked as a designer at Facebook, Warby Parker, and The Whitney Museum of American Art.

Lucille Tenazas, Henry Wolf Professor of Communication Design, Parsons School of Design

Lucille Tenazas is an educator and graphic designer based in New York and San Francisco. She is the Henry Wolf Professor of Communication Design at Parsons School of Design in New York. Her design work is at the intersection of typography and linguistics, reflecting complex and poetic means of visual expression. 
            
Lucille was the national president of the American Institute of Graphic Arts from 1996-98 and was awarded the AIGA Medal in 2013, for her lifetime contribution to design practice and outstanding leadership in design education. She was the recipient of the National Design Award for Communication Design by the Cooper Hewitt National Design Museum in 2002. Originally from Manila, the Philippines, she received her MFA in Design from Cranbrook Academy of Art. Lucille is an authority in the evolving state of design education and has conducted workshops throughout the United States, Asia, Europe and the Middle East. 
 

Anna Kulachek, Art Director, Graphic Designer, KULACHEK

Anna Kulachek is a graphic designer, art director, and artist currently based in New York, originally from Donetsk, Ukraine. Anna has worked with many clients, including the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), La Triennale di Milano, Nike, Apple, Calvin Klein, Prada, and Valentino. One of Anna's most significant achievements is her role as the Art Director at the Strelka Institute of Media, Architecture, and Design. Over the eight years, she spearheaded the visualization of public and education programs, shaping the institute's visual identity.
